About Us
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (A.R.C.) in Minneapolis offers a long-term residential rehabilitation program for men with alcohol and drug addiction and for those who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. The Christian-based program is built upon the principle of spiritual motivation helping men regain their self-respect and acquire the life skills needed for successful re-entry into society.
The program focuses on three key therapy areas:
- Christian Guidance
- Counseling and Education
- Work Therapy
The A.R.C. team is comprised of Salvation Army employees as well as numerous outside professionals and volunteers. Together, they create the perfect combination of high quality rehabilitation services and unwavering dedication to serving those in need.
The program is funded almost entirely through donation of reusable items by the local community. The household goods are resold in Salvation Army stores in the greater metropolitan area. Used vehicles are sold at a monthly online auction. When people purchase these goods and vehicles, they are not only getting tremendous values, but they are also providing the revenue that makes the work of the A.R.C possible.
When people GIVE us their used items, and when people SHOP in our stores, we can help HEAL broken lives.
